Michael Geller
President
Michael has over sixteen years building and managing consumer-facing internet businesses of all shapes and sizes, with a demonstrated record of leadership, achievement, and merriment. Prior to Tonic, he lived the corporate life running Marketing and Business Operations for the Mobile and Broadband business units of Yahoo!. Before that, Michael was a member of the founding team of Homestead, running sales and marketing, defeating the internet bubble, and learning to truly love startups. He's also held various marketing, product, and BD positions at Infoseek, AT&T, and the management consulting division of Grant Thornton, where he had to wear a suit every day. Michael currently serves as an advisor to a few venture-backed start-ups (but not as many as Pankaj), and holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BSE in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, thus proving he is truly a geek at heart.
John Kuner
Director, Secret Project
John has created and built online experiences since the days of xmosaic. Before coming to Tonic, he served as a Digital Vision Fellow down the street at Stanford University, focusing on social entrepreneurship and technology. As a Digital Vision Fellow, he launched a project that combined digital storytelling with camera phones to create cross-cultural connections (imagine penpals combined with your favorite online video site). Prior to Stanford, he worked at Nokia and Sega to build and manage global, cutting-edge online communities. His interests include social entrepreneurship, new gadgets, and meditation. He holds a BSE in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
